How does your process work?

The process of getting self-storage brought to you is as easy as 1-2-3.  First we drop-off one or several of our secure weatherproof storage units at your current location.  Next, you load the storage unit(s) at your leisure at the comfort of your own home.  Lastly we pick up the units and take them to your new location or back to our dry, secure heated warehouse for storage.  You can even keep them on-site for remodeling projects if that suites your needs.

How do I get a price and order my storage unit delivery?

We are here to answer your calls Monday - Friday from about 7:30AM to 4:30PM so give us a call and we can give you a quote over the phone.  If it is after our normal hours then you can get a FREE Instant and accurate quote right here at our website.  Check out our pricing page.  Then give us a call at 888-545-6090 during normal business hours and we can book your storage unit delivery to your home.

What are your days and hours of operation?

Outta Site Mobile Self-Storage works to your schedule. Our normal hours of operation are Monday – Friday (8:00am to 5:00pm) however we can make any special arrangements for phone calls, pick-ups, or deliveries based on your schedule. This even includes weekends. Just send us an e-mail at info@OuttaSiteStorage.com or call 888-545-6090.  If we miss you, please leave a message so we can promptly return your call.  Let us know when you are available.

Your units are too small for my storage needs?

Outta Site's 8'x5' units are larger than you think.  They can hold up to 2000 pounds of your items.  If you need more space just ask for more units.  We can drop off up to 4 storage units for the same price as 1.  It is not uncommon for customers to get several units for moving or storage. 
 
The other advantage to smaller units is they are much easier to securely pack.  Think about how you pack a moving box with your fine china.  You would never put it in an over-sized box where the items could shift and move causing breakage.  Lastly, our units allow you to separate your items.  One unit can contain garage items while another unit can contain indoor items such as living room furniture and bed linens.  It also makes items easier to access in the event that you need to get to them sooner than expected.

What if I am done storing mid-month?

After the first month’s storage your rate is pro-rated.  We will credit you back whatever days you don’t use after your first month.  There is a one-month minimum charge BUT we often run a first month special.  Check out our homepage for this month’s special.

What does the delivery charge cover?

The delivery charge covers 1 round trip (to you and back to us for storage 1 time) for up to 5 of our 5x8 storage units.  Direct moves from one home to another work a little different so check out our pricing page (instant quote page) for your customized instant quote.

How many days or hours in advance do I have to schedule a drop-off of a unit at my home?

Normally we like to have as much notice as possible for pick-ups and deliveries. In most cases all we need is one days notice but the earlier you call the more likely you are to get the unit to you when you want it.

Can I have a drop-off and pick-up on the same day?

Depending on delivery schedules, special arrangements can be made to accommodate any schedule.  Just be sure to give us as much notice as possible.

Is there a security deposit? If so, how much and how does it work?

There is no security deposit for a rental, though we do need payment before or during delivery of the unit to your home or business. This can be done with a credit card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express) when you call or during delivery with a check or money order. We would rather not accept cash payment

Can I use Outta Site’s mobile self-storage units for long-term storage?

Absolutely!  Store your items here or at your location as long as you like.  There is no restriction on the maximum amount of time you can store with us.

Do you have insurance?

Outta Site Mobile Self-Storage is fully insured. Although, since we do not know the contents of your unit, we cannot insure any loss due to damaged goods. As stated in our contract, the customer is expected to obtain some kind of insurance for their items.  We offer, as an option, “Tennant-One” self-storage insurance.  For more information give them a call at 800-544-6464.  Outta Site’s facility number is 150312-MI.  They can give you more information on rates and what this insurance covers.

Is the storage facility heated & cooled? What temperatures can I expect?

The Outta Site warehouse is temperature controlled. Normal temperature range for our warehouse is between 55°F and 90°F.  Humidity stays below 60%.  This environment should be safe for all your stored items

If I want to get a few things, can I come to the storage facility to get it? If so, when?

You may come to our warehouse to pick up your items FOR FREE. We just ask that you provide 24 hours notice so that we can make proper arrangements. Our normal hours of operation are Monday – Friday (8:00am to 5:00pm) however we can make any special arrangements for phone calls, pick-ups, or deliveries based on your schedule. This includes weekends.

What if my items are damaged or stolen when the box is at my (customer) location?

Since you (the customer) provide your own lock for the unit, you are responsible for the security of the unit when it is at your location. Check with your homeowners insurance to see if your items are insured while the unit is on your location.

How do I secure my stuff inside the box, from rattling around during transportation?

Outta Site Mobile Self-Storage units are provided with tie downs in all four corners to allow you to secure taller items. When you pack you should take into consideration that the unit will being transported via truck to our warehouse.

How will my items be stored at your location?

You can be assured that we will take the greatest care possible with your items.  When we bring the items back for storage in our warehouse your locked units will be kept indoors in a pest free, dry, and secure environment.  You are always welcome to come and see our warehouse to see where your items will be stored.
